Nelson Sarduy is a habanero entrepreneur who runs this casa particular similar to a light and homey European pension. Everything here is compact as the building is narrow. After a small and comfy living area, a smaller dining area one enters a two-floor-high open space with stairs leading to the mezzanine with its four aircon bedrooms (each with ensuite shower-toilet space). The original casa was obviously split in two so one can hear the neighbour's conversation, giving the place an even more truly Cuban atmosphere. Nelson knows all the right people and can be a great visit-planner and services-getter. He is assisted by kind and efficient women : his sister Yanelis and her friend Maria. Rates: 30cuc per bedroom per night; 4cuc breakfasts; no other meals served |
