About 20 years ago, the roof (azotea) of this eclectic-style building from the 1930s served as a scene for impromptu music nights - very popular with the intelligentsia and some lucky travelers - on Friday nights. Elda, the singer now deceased, organized these evenings called La Azotea de Elda. Later on, the place became the Amor restaurant, and the jam sessions were held on the first Sunday of the month - that's all a bygone era.
Amor Herrera, Elda's daughter, pursues her own singing career between Spain, Brazil and Cuba and has entrusted the management to her family - she takes care of reservations and communications. The large remodeled (2016) casa offers two suites - mini apartments with kitchenette - with modern amenities and luxurious installations. Rates : 60cuc per night per suite including break the fast. |

LA TERRAZA DE ELDA Andrés Carrillo y Isbel Mazorna En una epoca, el techo (azotea) del edificio de estilo ecléctico de los años 1930, sirvió de escenario para los noches dulces de musica - unas penas - algunas viernes de suerte. Elda, la duena y cantante, organizó estas noches famosas. Recientamente, era un restaurante : Amor. Hoy una casa de renta. Amor Herrera, su hija, vive a tiempo parcial en España, persigue su carrera como cantante y ha confiado la gestión a su familia - mientras se encarga de las reservaciones y comunicaciones. La familia renta dos habitaciones climatizadas - mini apartamentos con cocina y nevera - muy modernos (todo el piso ha sido remodelado en 2016) para alquilar a 60cuc por noche, incluyendo el desayuno. |
